Employee representatives' access to financial and legal expertise, the role of union coordinators and the revision of the EU directive on EWCs were the core themes of debates as they currently represent key leverages around which brainstorming and disseminaton of good practices can level the social dialogue field. With contributions from economic experts, legal specialists and union executives from Syndex and its partners (Progress Lawyers Network Antwerpen, INDEWO, ETUC among others), employee representatives from France, Luxemburg, Sweden, Belgium and Ireland had the opportunity to exchange on their right to expertise, its challenges as well as the legal framework in place that can be mobilized to increase their information and consultation prerogatives.
2024 will be the year for an additional seminar and a conference concluding the project with take-aways that will serve as tools for a fairer and more balanced dialogue between social partners.
