European Project: "EU Defence policy: towards more industrial integration. How to anticipate change for workers.”

In a project called  “EU Defence policy, towards more industrial integration. How to anticipate change for workers.” Syndex has provided sound expertise to IndustriAll Europe and its affiliated organisation on transnational representation and democracy at work. In a transitioning European defence industry impacted by political unrest (Brexit, war in Ukraine) and economic uncertainty (tense military budget discussions, COVID 19, unclear procurement pipelines), the promotion of workers’ rights to representation arise as a crucial point to not be overlooked.

Carried out in the span of two years (2020-2022), this project has promoted social dialogue and equipped trade unions and workers representatives with tools to nurture and protect workers’ rights to information-consultation and participation at the company level. Through workshops and conferences held in Berlin, Sevilla and Brussels, experts and trade union organisations were able to share data and experiences that resulted in further knowledge of the sector and best social dialogue practices.

A thorough description of the project and its development is available on the dedicated website, as well as the report resulting from its implementation
