Since April 2010

Since April 2010, the Syndex Spanish team gives an answer to the needs of trade union organisations and contributes to promoting their integration into european debates.

The Syndex Spanish team, following the meetings with the national trade union organisations, has identified their needs and can now focus on the main fields of cooperation:

  • The training for members of European Works Councils,
  • The improvement of the information-consultation procedures
  • The engineering in European projects,
  • The professional equality plans,
  • The expert appraisals for failing companies.

Building social Europe

The issue of information and consultation should need further development specially taking into account the new European directive on EWCs that considers the linkage of the European and national level as a main key to favour the social dialogue.

An important issue for the Spanish team is the participation in surveys conducted by Syndex with its Spanish partners on sustainable development, on European Works Councils or on harmonisation of information and consultation procedures, projects that favour the participation of Spanish trade unions in European debates.

Future partnerships will be based on the mutual recognition of the prerogatives of all partners in favour of a social Europe.
